Dear future children,
I know you’ll be twelve (12) in number but, that is not the issue for now.
My purpose of writing this letter to you is to explain why your dad (me) have some scars on my face and some hidden injuries in his body so that you all learn from my past mistakes in other to prevent future occurrences.
Starting with the “minus” sign at the left hand side of my face. Your dad engaged in some hard play with a boy called Joseph Paul while he was in primary four at St. Leo Rcm primary school,Ayeyemi, Ondo. The play was so hard that Joseph paul hit his head against your dad’s ended up bursting his face into pieces. Please my dear children, be careful of how you play with others and most especially, taekwondo fight.
Your dad almost become a burglar, until one day he met his Waterloo. He went ahead to steal a football which belonged to one Igbo boy called Ogbonna. Ogbo as he was being called, was a very strong person, tall and his chest sorrounded by six packs. Your dad was caught, and on his attempt to run away; he was crapped and hit his head against the edge of a door. Please dear future Children, be contented with whatever you have or been given. Don’t be carried away by what others display, they also have some lack which you might even have in excess.
Hmmm, there is one injury in your dad’s leg, I don’t know maybe you might see this someday, when your dad would be on his bed with his short on. He developed it while he was running after a girl in his secondary school days. He lied to his parents that it was not so. Though, he later regretted doing that. Please my dear beautiful and handsome children, the Bible says”do not lay your rigor on women. Thanks to God, it was a physical injury. Some people developed invisible injury in the cause of running after ladies and would live throughout their lives bitting finger. Please, do away with strange women.
Lastly, I don’t know maybe you might observe my two hands very well some days to come, and find out that they are not balance. It is not God who made a mistake rather, your dad caused it. Dear children, he proud because your dad has made you proud in this aspect. He fought for a lady while he was in primary three (3), the lady was been bullied by a boy called Tolulope. It has been the habit of Tolulope to cheat on people, beat them mercilessly and take what belonged to them. Your dad was infuriated with this and he went ahead this day to deal with Tolulope. Your dad was very strong as a village boy that he was able to beat Tolulope”black and blue”. It was when Tolulope discovered he would die if you dad didn’t stop beating him that he decided to held him in the hand and got it twisted to the back. Please, my dear heavenly gifts, be a freedom fighter, never you be silence on what is right. “The quality of the life you live can only be measured by the quantity of lives you live for”.
Till I write to you again
Stay blessed!
