MY JOURNEY INTO CULTISM

MY JOURNEY INTO CULTISM

It was Sunday night at about 7pm, I put on my clothes, shoes, shades etc. To make sure I look fine. I never knew that none of them would come back home with me. I got there at exactly 7:38pm with Teeponzy, a guy who showed me the way to the hell.

I was surprised at the sight of dignitaries I saw there including the former local government chairman of the community.

Without much Ado, I was asked to drop the Aromatic Schnapps, biscuits and other things I bought, but won’t mention. I gently dropped them and the next thing I could experience was rain of moros (hot slaps) from left and right.

I could not take it any longer,so I stood up with anger and returned some heavy slap to the face of a man that was very close to me. I slapped him more than five times before I realize it was the Capo. Guess what! I can’t complete the story

SOON

This too shall pass
Even the earth itself
Will become once upon a time.

Before we tear this into pieces and trash
I hope you’ll been able to
deduce a life-long lesson?

This too shall pass according to the law of nature
Let it not leave a scar on you
That will fetch water from your face forever.

Before I end my sermon
I hope this has been able
To flog me and you to the marrow?

LETTER TO MY UNBORN CHILDREN

Dear future children,

I know you’ll be twelve (12) in number but, that is not the issue for now.

My purpose of writing this letter to you is to explain why your dad (me) have some scars on my face and some hidden injuries in his body so that you all learn from my past mistakes in other to prevent future occurrences.

Starting with the “minus” sign at the left hand side of my face. Your dad engaged in some hard play with a boy called Joseph Paul while he was in primary four at St. Leo Rcm primary school,Ayeyemi, Ondo. The play was so hard that Joseph paul hit his head against your dad’s ended up bursting his face into pieces. Please my dear children, be careful of how you play with others and most especially, taekwondo fight.

Your dad almost become a burglar, until one day he met his Waterloo. He went ahead to steal a football which belonged to one Igbo boy called Ogbonna. Ogbo as he was being called, was a very strong person, tall and his chest sorrounded by six packs. Your dad was caught, and on his attempt to run away; he was crapped and hit his head against the edge of a door. Please dear future Children, be contented with whatever you have or been given. Don’t be carried away by what others display, they also have some lack which you might even have in excess.

Hmmm, there is one injury in your dad’s leg, I don’t know maybe you might see this someday, when your dad would be on his bed with his short on. He developed it while he was running after a girl in his secondary school days. He lied to his parents that it was not so. Though, he later regretted doing that. Please my dear beautiful and handsome children, the Bible says”do not lay your rigor on women. Thanks to God, it was a physical injury. Some people developed invisible injury in the cause of running after ladies and would live throughout their lives bitting finger. Please, do away with strange women.

Lastly, I don’t know maybe you might observe my two hands very well some days to come, and find out that they are not balance. It is not God who made a mistake rather, your dad caused it. Dear children, he proud because your dad has made you proud in this aspect. He fought for a lady while he was in primary three (3), the lady was been bullied by a boy called Tolulope. It has been the habit of Tolulope to cheat on people, beat them mercilessly and take what belonged to them. Your dad was infuriated with this and he went ahead this day to deal with Tolulope. Your dad was very strong as a village boy that he was able to beat Tolulope”black and blue”. It was when Tolulope discovered he would die if you dad didn’t stop beating him that he decided to held him in the hand and got it twisted to the back. Please, my dear heavenly gifts, be a freedom fighter, never you be silence on what is right. “The quality of the life you live can only be measured by the quantity of lives you live for”.

Till I write to you again
Stay blessed!

PIDGIN POETRY

PIDGIN POETRY

Eyes wey see evil, wey never blind
For sure, na im go still see better thing
We no die las year, and e sure me die
Say; we no go die dis year
We go live tey for this life

Na awa papa talk am say
“Pikin no dey die for pikin
Las las, im too go commot wings”
The matter be say; e fit last sotay
Dog wey get patience go chop fat bone

Yawa fit dey today
Kasala fit burst tomorrow
Fire fit dey on top the roof
And landlord fit dey sleep for gutter
See this tomorrow, he must better

Wetin man dey see, wey we never see?
Wetin dem dey chop, wey we never chop?
Wetin dem dey drink, wey we never drink?
We do am sotay we get stomach ulcer
And today, the story no be the same

E fit no happen quick quick as we want am
But, we no sey we no be like car wey no get engine
We dey slice am dey go,every day and night
We dey grind, we no dey tire
Make papa God no tey before im come do im own part

SHE IS NOT DEAD

SHE IS NOT DEAD

I walks around the tomb
It is you my eyes are searching
I wondered the ancestors could sold lies
That the dead rises to dialogue at midnight
When you forever remain in the grave

Here, with madness, but sane
Monologue round the clock, no response
I could even peep through some broken blocks
Of your grave
But, I don’t believe you are truly there,
Because I can’t see you

Perhaps, you’ve joined the breeze
Why don’t you blow someday, through my ears
And whisper some words, like in those days
It is a box of memory I created about you

I find it wobble to take in breath
That you are truly gone beyond sight
Even though, I can’t see you again
You will forever dwell in my heart.

I PLEDGE MY LOVE

I PLEDGE MY LOVE
I don’t need to see your face before I love you
The caricature, shadow, voice before I sink
Into a deep ocean of love and be swallowed
By whale of truthful and honest relationship.

Let the whole world become a market square
Let it be like the crowd in soldier ant party
My heart shall locate you wherever you are
And my deeds shall confess your location.

To you I pledge my love and my all
I delicately and dangerously love you
From the most fragile part of my life
And place you on the shell of the eggs in my heart.

I agreed to be called a lover boy
I am willing to be mocked in the street
I accept all negative names given to me
I cling to you and love you till eternity.

I do this not because I wish to
But, because you taught me
And demonstrated it on the cross
To you I pledge my love; JESUS.
